Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What's the purpose of life? What's next?
If you're looking for a judgment-free space to ask hard questions and share your own opinion, there's a place for you.
Alpha is hosted all over the world. This one is hosted by City Church Charlottesville.
-
Alpha starts on Tuesday, October 8th (6:30-8:30pm) and will run for 10 weeks. Not sure if you want to commit to 10 weeks? That's ok! Come to the first session or two and see what you think.
-
We will meet at the Dairy Market's Old Trinity Church at the corner of 10th and Grady. This renovated community space sits just across from the Dairy Market.
946 Grady Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22903 -
Yes! Alpha is completely free.
-
We will start with time to hang out and share a catered meal together (note that Alpha is free).
After dinner, we will watch a video addressing some of life’s biggest questions.
Then, we will spend time discussing at our tables in small groups.
-
Yes. However, many people who attend would not consider themselves Christians. In fact, you may disagree with the Christian perspective altogether, and you are welcome to join the conversation. In Alpha we explore the big questions of life and the Christian faith. Alpha is a judgement-free space, and ALL are welcome.
-
Absolutely not! It is for those who are exploring faith and/or looking for a community with whom they can discuss the meaningful questions of life. You are welcome even if you disagree with Christian views.
